National IPA Day is the first Thursday of August. So in honor of that day AND this style, we’re going to celebrate with IPAlooza!
We’re going to change up our flagship beer, Fantasy Factory IPA by dry-hopping it with 3 different varieties of hops. Thus, creating 3 different unique Fantasy Factory variants. The hops we’re going to use are:
Mosaic – Released in 2012 by the Hop Breeding Company, Mosaic presents a complex bouquet of earthy, pine, and fruit aromas from berry to mango.
Nelson Sauvin – This cross between New Zealand Smoothcone and wild hops makes for a versatile brewing ingredient. A high alpha and distinctly fruity aroma make Nelson Sauvin hops totally unique. A bright aroma of gooseberry, grapefruit and citrus pack a punch in beer styles like APAs, IPAs, and even some lagers.
Sorachi Ace – This Japanese hop was created from a mix of Brewer’s Gold, a Saazer parent, and Beiki male by Sapporo Brewers. Released in 1984, this hop is a cornerstone of the world famous Sapporo Lager. Sorachi Ace also adds a uniquely fresh aroma of lemon, citrus, dill and cilantro to everything from IPAs and Pale Ales to Lagers.
Try them individually OR try a flight of all 3 plus the OG!
